Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. So run, that ye may obtain. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? What shall I say to you? I praise you not. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? Let all things be done unto edifying. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:. Paul to the Corinthians is one of the most quoted of his Epistles and in fact of the Bible, particularly the passage on Love. The book is rich in content, as it refers to the message of the Cross and Christ Crucified ; Communion, the Memorial of the Last Supper Chapters 10 and 11 ; the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit Chapter 12 ; on love Chapter 13 ; and on the Resurrection of Christ and of the Body Chapter Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians provides us with excellent insight into the life of the early Christian Church in the middle of the first century AD.
Paul's reflection on the Church as the Christian community of believers begins in First Corinthians, as he calls for harmony within the community He reminds us twice that we are temples of God and the Holy Spirit who dwell in our bodies and He points out that whoever is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him Paul points out in First Corinthians , that even though the Corinthian community has tolerated grave sin, they are "unleavened.
For Christ our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed. Through his Sacrifice on the Cross, Christians are saved, and can become the "unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. Paul refers to his Conversion on the Road to Damascus in and He calls Christ the Rock in As in Romans , his analogy of one body with many parts refers to our union in the Body of Christ Paul further develops this concept in Ephesians and Colossians when he calls Christ the Head of his Body the Church.
Paul asserts that each of us is given a spiritual gift or charism. In he notes that "to each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. Chapter 15 on the Resurrection of Christ is the earliest written evidence of the Resurrection of Jesus. Paul makes the point that just as Christ the first-fruits rose from the dead, so the followers of Our Lord, the body of Christ, will also rise again First Corinthians speaks on the Last Day.
In addition, First Corinthians refers to the relation of God and the Holy Spirit, and on labor and wages.follow link

Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For it is written, "He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness" 20 and again, "the LORD knows the reasoning of the wise, that they are useless.
For all things belong to you, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, 23 and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God. What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love and a spirit of gentleness? Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough? For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. Do you not judge those who are within the church? Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.
